Helios

In Greek mythology, Helios was the personification of the sun. He was the son of Hyperion and Theia and brother of Selene and Eos. Helios was described as the god who sees and hears everything, and gives light both to gods and men. Helios drove his chariot from east to west across the sky each day and sail across the ocean each night in a huge cup. In Greece he was later displaced by Apollo.
